"Cheyenne" was a deep Red Tri bitch with an exceptional temperament. She excelled in agility right from the start. When she did a sit on the agility table, she just wiggled with anticipation and excitement! In addition to her titles, she had 1 AKC Masters Jumpers With Weaves qualifying score and earned her first qualifying score toward her AKC CD title her first time out in the ring. She also finished her ASCA CD with a High Scoring Aussie award.
We loved her good looks and easy going attitude. She was very charming and would bat her eyes at you and give you a grin when you spoke to her. She was very mellow and easy to get along with. She was a perfectionist when it came to training and hated to make a mistake. She attended a seminar for herding instinct testing on sheep and did well.
She was showing in ASCA and AKC obedience and agility and was going to begin herding too when we lost her to a mass in her pulmonary artery. She was fine one day and terribly ill the next. After spending a week in ICU at the NC State Veterinary College in an oxygen cage, she came home for a week and half before we had to say goodbye. We're devastated by this loss. Luckily we have her two daughters and granddaughters here with us that all have her same nature.

Monty @ 11 1/2 years
"Monty" was a blue merle dog with a fun loving attitude. He earned his AKC CD and also had been in the ASCA Novice Obedience ring once and earned his first qualifying score toward the ASCA CD title.
Although he was trained in agility too, we never could compete with him. Monty tore his Achilles tendons in both rear legs on separate occasions at the age of 3. Although they were repaired and the vet guaranteed that we would never have any future problems with them, we would never subject him to take the chance.
Monty loved to play Frisbee and ball. He had a wonderful attitude in the obedience ring. He's was herding tested showed wonderful stock instinct.
Monty was diagnosed with lymphoma in April 2006 just before his 11th birthday. We were lucky enough to enjoy another 7 months of time with him. On a crisp November day, Monty lost his battle with cancer. He will be missed greatly in our household. . . until we meet again dear friend.
"Leah" was a great dog! She never competed in the show ring, however, she was trained in obedience, agility and herding too. She competed in 4H events with our son and was a constant companion for all of us. She is the mother of "Monty" and has produced many gorgeous puppies.
At fourteen years old, she kept all of the other Manacoo kids in line. She loved to "herd" the other dogs around in the yard. She will be missed terribly by us all until we meet again at the rainbow bridge.
December 15, 1990 - May 28, 2002 OFA Good * Eyes Clear
"Cowboy" was our foundation sire at Manacoo. He could always be seen with a ball in his mouth no matter what time of day! He was great with the puppies; would let them climb all over him, pulling his ears and hair and loved every minute of it.
In his younger days, Cowboy showed in AKC obedience and conformation. He was a dear friend and is certainly missed around our home.
"Daisy" was our first dog to compete with at dog shows. She was a small Black Tri, only 18.25" tall with a lot of heart. Pam started showing her in obedience after she could no longer compete with her horse. They began training in agility to try to help Daisy be a little more out going. They had so much fun and were prompted by friends to compete in agility too. Soon thereafter, they were both "caught up" in the excitement of the sport.
Daisy finished her Open Agility title in high style at the 1996 United States Australian Shepherd Association National Specialty in Ocala, Florida where she earned the High Scoring Aussie in agility award.
In addition to the titles she earned in her lifetime, she also had 1 AKC Excellent Agility Jumpers (AXJ) qualifying score and 2 AKC Masters Agility (MX) qualifying scores earning 10 points toward her Master Agility Championship. She also earned 2 Companion Dog Excellent (CDX) qualifying scores with AKC and another CDX qualifying score with World Wide Kennel Club.
Her life was cut short by Cancer soon after we moved to North Carolina. She was a very valuable dog to us in the experiences that she provided. Making possible our long dreamed move to NC and for Pam, a career in dogs.
"Rusty" was a good ole dog! He loved to go horseback riding with Pam and was always at Pam's side when she was at the horse shows. He dabbled a little in sheep herding too.
When Pam was single Rusty wouldn't let anyone in the house, he was the household protector! The first time Cary came to pick Pam up on a date, Rusty licked Cary in the face as soon as he came in the door.... Just goes to show you, that you have to trust in your dog!
It is with a heavy heart that we said goodbye to our dear friend Ben.
Ben was owned and loved by Ingela and lived nearby in Raleigh, NC. Ben had been showing in conformation and obedience and was doing fantastic! He was a real looker!
He took Winners Dog at the following shows to earn his first Championship points:
Greater Hickory KC - Best of Winners - under Donald Booxbaum - 8/14/05
Lumberton Kennel Club - Winners Dog - under Janet Robinson - 11/19/05
Fayetteville Kennel Club - Winners Dog - under Shirley Uphouse - 11/20/05
Forsyth Kennel Club - Winners Dog - under Lester Mapes - 12/10/05
They were working hard in obedience and earned two nice scores toward the Companion Dog title. Ben and Ingela trained hard for the Open and Utility exercises too so they would be ready for the ring when the time came. We couldn't have asked for a nicer home for Ben! Thank you Ingela!! We'll miss our happy boy.
