Born 11-12-99 * OFA Good * Eyes Clear

"Stryker" is a gorgeous red merle dog with a "can do" attitude. He is proportionately correct for the breed, stands 20.5" tall and weighs 45 lbs. He completed his AKC Novice Agility title in September 2001 with one 1st and two 2nd places in the large 20" jump height class.

He maintains a "have no fear" approach to life, has lightening fast speed and we love his big "grins" when he comes to greet us!  He's very easy to get along with, very willing to please and usually anticipates your request before you get to ask.  He has a fantastic temperament, is extremely agile and is proving to be versatile as he takes on herding training too.

He is currently showing in ASCA, NADAC & AKC agility, is trained through Novice obedience, has been training in herding and just began showing in ASCA Altered Conformation.

Stryker earned his Herding Tested title at the 2003 USASA National Specialty in Davisburg Michgan!  We entered another herding trial and Stryker earned his Pre-Trial Tested title 10-02-05! He is such an honest working dog.

We competed for Most Versatile Aussie at the 2005 ASCA Nationals by competing in Conformation, Agility and Stock-sheep.  Stryker nearly won the Open Red Merle class at Nationals coming in a close 2nd.  Judge Leslie Sorenson stated, "On any given day, this could have gone either way [between the 1st & 2nd place dogs]."  It was very intense and exciting! Stryker had great runs in agility too and nearly finished his Jumpers title until he knocked the 3rd to the last jump bar! Oh no!  He did finish his Agility RS-N title with a beautiful clean round.  Our sheep run wasn't as pretty!  Stryker had a hard time getting the sheep to flock and settle down.  Although he did try really hard to keep them together, they were too flighty for him to control.  We'll do it next time!

NEWS! Stryker only needs major wins to finish his ASCA Altered Champion title!  He had some really nice wins this year (2007).

At the July Carolina ASC shows he won Best of Winners/Best Opposite under breeder judge Susan Moorehead; Best of Winners/Best Opposite under judge Gayle Gold; and Best of Winners/Best of Breed under judge Mark Lucas!

At the October Carolina ASC shows he won Best of Breed twice under breeder judges Bruce Caldwell and Cheryl Padgett!

Stryker recently started competing in AKC Rally and earned his Rally Novice (RN) title in December 2007!

Stryker was neutered in the Spring of 2003 because his brother was diagnosed with Epilepsy at age 2.  Please do what you can to help research this disease. Click here to see a
